Looking for a Greece visa appointment from Croydon? Compare the London route and confirm the appropriate GVCW centre for your residence address. Greece Visa Alerts can notify you when a matching appointment is found, so you can check the opening and book through the official provider.
If GVCW confirms London is appropriate for you, Greece Visa Alerts’ London appointment search offers optional paid notifications when a matching appointment is detected. You book personally through GVCW if a date works for you.
Check your centre and visa route
GVCW lists Greece visa application centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Its appointment guidance says applicants should normally use the centre based on their residence address. From Croydon, compare the London option and confirm the appropriate centre with GVCW before choosing alerts. Proximity alone does not establish eligibility.
This page focuses on tourism applications for a short-stay Schengen type C visa. If your trip includes more than one Schengen country, GVCW says Greece must be where you spend the longest time. If your stays are equal, Greece must be your first country of entry. GVCW cannot advise you on which visa category to choose, so check that the tourism route matches your trip.
Once you have confirmed your centre and category, book through GVCW’s official appointment portal. GVCW collects applications for the Greek diplomatic and consular authorities; the Embassy of Greece’s Consular Office assesses them. Every applicant, including a child or infant, must attend in person with an online appointment.
What to do when the calendar looks empty
Keep your search focused on the centre and application category confirmed for you. A quiet calendar does not change which centre you may use. Decide which dates you could attend in advance, including any practical arrangements for other applicants, so you can assess an opening promptly without rushing that decision.
The paid alert search starts after payment is confirmed. On this email-enabled route, you receive an email when a matching appointment is detected. SMS notifications are available where enabled, supported and possible, but delivery by a mobile carrier is not guaranteed.
A notification does not book, reserve or hold a date. You must make the booking yourself through GVCW, and notification or booking speed is not guaranteed. Alerts are optional: you can continue checking the official appointment portal yourself. If you receive a notification, verify the date and complete the booking through the provider.
Use the wait to prepare your application
For tourism applications, GVCW says you may lodge an application up to six months before travel and no later than 15 calendar days before the intended visit. Plan backwards from your travel date, allowing time to check your route, gather documents and attend. Do not assume an appointment notification will leave enough time to prepare.
Read the current GVCW tourism guidance and linked checklist for the complete requirements. The guidance calls for a fully completed and signed form, a valid passport, copies, photographs and supporting evidence. Bring original documents and one photocopy. Check the current instructions for your circumstances rather than relying on a general list.
Each family or group member needs a separate application and supporting document set. Children and infants must attend in person. GVCW says both parents should attend a minor’s appointment, except where one parent alone has parental authority or is the legal guardian.
UK applicants need permanent or temporary residence permission valid for at least one month after their intended return. If you hold a UK residence permit, GVCW requires a copy of your UK e-visa and a share code for visa purposes. Check these requirements while preparing your documents.
Make your appointment day straightforward
After booking, print the appointment letter and bring it to the centre. GVCW requires applications to be submitted in person by appointment and does not accept postal applications. Check the latest provider instructions before you travel, and make sure every applicant who needs to attend can be there on the booked date.
Confirm your centre, prepare the right application and decide which dates are workable. If GVCW confirms London is the right route and you want help watching for a match, start the paid London Greece appointment search.
