Looking for a Greece visa appointment from Dundee? Compare the Edinburgh route and confirm the appropriate GVCW centre for your residence address. Greece Visa Alerts can notify you when a matching appointment is found, so you can check the opening and book through the official provider.
This page covers the Edinburgh alert route. Greece Visa Alerts’ Edinburgh appointment search can notify you when a matching appointment is detected. You book personally through GVCW.
Confirm the right centre before searching
GVCW lists Greece visa application centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Its appointment guidance says applicants should normally use the centre based on their residence address. From Dundee, compare the Edinburgh option and confirm the appropriate centre with GVCW before choosing alerts. Proximity alone does not establish eligibility.
Use GVCW’s centre-selection page to check the appropriate location for your circumstances. If you are uncertain, ask the provider before choosing a date. Its online appointment portal is where applicants make their booking.
GVCW collects applications; the Greek Embassy’s Consular Office assesses them. An appointment is for submitting your application, not a decision on whether a visa will be issued.
Turn an alert into a practical next step
Before searching, decide which dates you could genuinely attend. Keep your email accessible and have the official booking portal ready. That way, you can assess a notification against your availability without first having to plan your next step.
The paid search starts after payment is confirmed. When a matching appointment is detected, this email-enabled route sends an email notification. SMS notifications are available where enabled, supported and possible, but mobile carrier delivery is not guaranteed.
A notification does not reserve or hold a date. You make the booking yourself through GVCW, and neither notification nor booking speed is guaranteed. You can also check the official portal directly while the search is running.
Prepare your tourism application
This page is for tourism, short-stay Schengen type C applications. If your trip includes several Schengen countries, GVCW says Greece must be where you spend the longest time. If stays are equal, Greece must be your first country of entry. Type C visas cover stays of up to 90 days in the Schengen area within a 180-day period.
GVCW instructs applicants to complete the online form through its website, print it and sign it. Postal applications are not accepted. Use the provider’s tourism checklist as your working list; this page is not a complete document checklist.
The tourism guidance asks for original documents and one photocopy. It lists passport requirements: validity for at least three months after return to the UK, two or more blank visa pages, and issue within the previous ten years. Check the passport and supporting papers against the checklist before your appointment.
GVCW says applicants need permanent or temporary UK residence permission valid for at least one month after their intended return. UK residence permit holders must also provide a copy of their UK e-visa and a share code for visa purposes. Its guidance says submitted documents should be no more than one month old; ask GVCW if you are unsure how this applies to a particular document.
Plan for the appointment day
Every applicant, including children and infants, must attend in person with an online appointment. Each family or group member needs a separate application and supporting document set. Both parents should attend a minor’s appointment unless only one has parental authority or is the legal guardian.
Print your appointment letter and take it to the centre. Once you have a date, organise the documents you will submit and plan travel to the location shown on your booking. Preparing while you search can make it easier to act when a suitable date appears.
GVCW says applications may be lodged up to six months before travel and no later than 15 calendar days before the intended visit. If you have confirmed Edinburgh is appropriate, start the Edinburgh Greece appointment search for optional matching notifications. Continue preparing, then make your appointment through GVCW.
