Before a suitable slot appears
Your Greece visa appointment route is determined by where you are eligible to apply, not simply by the country on your itinerary. Applicants in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United Arab Emirates and the United States use different providers or Greek diplomatic mission calendars. Selecting the correct country and application city first prevents you from chasing a date that the centre cannot accept.
Greece Visa Alerts is an independent appointment finder. Choose the route, dates and centres that work for you; when a matching appointment appears, we email you and send you an SMS. You then check the opening and complete the booking yourself through the official provider. We do not reserve appointments or decide visa applications.
Start with residence and jurisdiction
Official guidance normally connects an applicant to a country of lawful residence and, in some places, a regional consular jurisdiction. Before paying for a search, confirm that you may apply in that country, that the city serves your address, and that the calendar covers your visa category. Your nationality alone may not answer those questions.
Use the Greek embassy, consulate or appointed provider page as the authority. Check the live instructions again when an appointment appears because centre arrangements and calendar links can change.
United Kingdom: GVCW application centres
Greece visa applications in the UK are handled through Global Visa Center World (GVCW) for the listed London, Manchester and Edinburgh application centres. The official tourism guidance explains the application process, while the GVCW appointment page is the booking entry point.
Choose the city you can genuinely attend and read the centre instructions before selecting a date. GVCW states that applications are submitted in person by appointment and that the diplomatic authority, rather than the application centre, makes the visa decision. Applicants using Manchester or Edinburgh should also allow for the handling arrangements described in the current guidance.
- Confirm your UK residence eligibility.
- Match the appointment category to your travel purpose.
- Use the official GVCW appointment page.
- Prepare the current checklist for every applicant.
Ireland: the Dublin embassy route
Applicants in Ireland should begin with the Embassy of Greece in Ireland visa guidance. The linked Dublin visa calendar is separate from the UK provider system, so a convenient date in London is not automatically a valid alternative.
Check that Dublin is the correct place for your application and read any appointment notes before booking. Complete the appointment action on the Dublin visa calendar; Greece Visa Alerts does not operate that calendar.
United Arab Emirates: VFS Global
Applicants in the UAE should compare the VFS Global Greece appointment route with the Greek mission guidance. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are available as application-city choices on Greece Visa Alerts, but the official sources remain decisive about where and how you may submit.
Check residence rules, the correct visa category, centre location and document checklist before acting. Do not use a UK, Irish or US calendar for an application made in the UAE.
United States: choose the correct consular city
The US has separate Greece appointment calendars for Washington DC, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Start with the Greek MFA appointment guidance for the United States, then identify the mission serving your residence.
Local instructions matter. A calendar may define its states of jurisdiction, require a separate appointment for each applicant, or set rules for duplicate bookings. The current appointment entry points include Washington DC, New York and the updated Los Angeles calendar. Use the route attached to the responsible mission, not whichever city displays the earliest date.
Recheck the route before acting
Appointment arrangements can change after you save a search. On the day an opening appears, return to the official country or mission guidance and confirm that the same provider, city and calendar still apply. Check the page address, visa category and jurisdiction before entering applicant information. A search result or an older bookmarked link should never override the current official instructions.
Also compare the date with document readiness and travel time. A faster appointment is not useful if you cannot attend the correct centre or submit a complete application. For a family or group, establish whether the calendar requires one booking per applicant. These checks take only a few minutes and reduce the risk of choosing an appointment that the centre cannot accept.
What to do when an appointment appears
- Check the country, application city and visa category in the message.
- Open the official provider or mission calendar.
- Confirm that the date fits your saved range and preparation time.
- Read applicant-count, document and jurisdiction instructions.
- Enter your details and complete the booking on the official site.
- Save the official confirmation and follow its day-of-appointment guidance.
Availability can change while you act. An update is not a reservation, and no independent service can guarantee that the slot will remain open or that a visa will be granted.
Quick route checklist
- Where are you legally resident and entitled to apply?
- Which mission or provider serves your address?
- Which application city can you attend?
- Does the calendar cover your visa purpose?
- Are your documents ready for the selected date?
Compare every active city in the Greece appointment route directory, or read the service terms before starting a search.
