Before a suitable slot appears
An earlier Greece visa appointment is useful only if the route is correct and you are ready to attend. Preparing your applicant details, documents and realistic date range before an opening appears helps you make a calm decision without skipping essential checks.
With Greece Visa Alerts, you choose your application route, dates and preferred centres. We email you and send you an SMS when an appointment matches those preferences. You still review the official calendar and complete the booking yourself; the service does not hold a slot or determine whether you qualify for a visa.
Confirm the application route first
The correct route depends on the country where you are eligible to apply and the city or consular jurisdiction responsible for you. UK applicants use the GVCW route for London, Manchester or Edinburgh. Ireland has the Dublin embassy calendar. UAE applications use the current VFS Global and Greek mission guidance. US applicants must identify the relevant Greek mission and its local calendar.
Open the official source for your route and confirm residence eligibility, visa category and application location. Do this before choosing a search, then check again when a date appears. A slot in another city is not useful if that office cannot accept your application.
Keep accurate applicant details together
Prepare the information requested by the official booking system for every applicant. Copy names and passport details exactly rather than relying on memory. Useful items to have ready include:
- full name as it appears on the passport;
- passport number, nationality and expiry date;
- residential address and evidence of the right to apply there;
- intended travel dates and purpose of travel;
- email address and mobile number used for confirmations;
- the correct application city and visa category;
- details of any current appointment, if you already have one.
You do not need an existing appointment to start the Cancellation Finder. If you have one, compare every proposed date carefully before changing anything on the provider website.
Check the official document list
An appointment opening is not a document check. Review the latest instructions for the country, city and visa purpose you selected. Requirements may include a completed application, valid passport, photographs, travel medical insurance, travel and accommodation evidence, financial evidence, residence documents and purpose-specific records.
Do not copy a checklist from another country or consulate. Translation, photocopy, applicant-attendance and submission rules can differ. The GVCW tourism guidance, Ireland mission guidance, UAE mission guidance and US mission guidance are starting points for their respective routes.
Plan for official fees and confirmation
Check the official guidance for the visa fee, provider charges, accepted payment methods and any services you choose at the centre. Those amounts are separate from the Greece Visa Alerts appointment-finder fee and may change. Do not rely on an old screenshot or a third-party summary when deciding how much money or which payment card to bring.
Decide where you will store the official appointment booking confirmation and reference number. If the provider sends a confirmation email, check the applicant name, location, category, date and time as soon as it arrives. Keep a copy that you can access on the appointment day, along with any receipt or instruction page the official system provides.
Choose dates you can actually use
Set a window that allows enough time to finish documents, travel to the centre and attend in person. Consider work or study commitments, journeys to another city, school arrangements for children, and the time between submission and intended travel. An earlier date is not automatically better if it leaves you unable to lodge a complete application.
For group or family applications, check whether every person needs a separate slot. Some mission calendars expressly issue one appointment per applicant. Do not assume one booking covers several people, and do not create duplicates where a calendar prohibits them.
Use a safe response routine
- Read the message and confirm the named city, provider, date and category.
- Open the official appointment page for that exact route.
- Check that the page address belongs to the provider, Greek mission or calendar it identifies.
- Verify the slot against your real availability and document readiness.
- Complete the booking yourself using accurate applicant information.
- Save the official confirmation and read its arrival, document and amendment instructions.
Never send payment card details, one-time codes or identity documents in response to an unsolicited message. Greece Visa Alerts does not sell official appointments, and official visa or provider fees are separate from the appointment-finder fee.
If the opening has gone
Appointments can be taken while you are checking. If the date is no longer available, do not switch to an unsuitable jurisdiction or pay someone claiming to hold the slot. Keep your saved preferences accurate and wait for another matching update. No appointment finder can guarantee supply, a successful booking or a visa outcome.
Final five-minute check
- The route accepts applications from your residence.
- The category matches your purpose of travel.
- Every applicant has the required information and documents.
- You can attend the city and date shown.
- You are completing the action on the official calendar.
Use the route directory to compare application cities, and review the terms for how the independent service works.
